When is enough enough?

Full Report & Video

According to a Paul Wagner, FOX 5 news, the DC 911 (OUC) system failed again, now questions are being raised about the time it took to get help to a toddler who stopped breathing after choking on some grapes while the closest Fire and EMS paramedic was just three blocks away. That toddler is now in intensive care and fighting for his life. Mayor Bowser, the ball is in your court and concerned citizens want to know when do you think that enough is enough?

We feel that the 911/OUC director needs to be removed and replaced by the police and fire Chiefs respectively, and order needs to be restored to that agency immediately.

The chief has no control over one of the biggest problems… Then and Now!

deanEight years ago I was in DC’s Office of Unified Communications (OUC or 911 center) as Chief Dennis Rubin was named by Mayor Adrian Fenty as the city’s new fire chief. I told Chief Rubin some of his biggest problems as chief will be because of what happens in this building and that he will have little or no ability to fix those problems. Big problem with DC’s 911 system!

3881213_GTwo D.C. firefighters were arrested within a three-day span, just another hit to the already beleaguered department. Adding insult to injury, residents of a southeast neighborhood say that a critically injured stabbing victim was left bleeding for more than 40 minutes while waiting for an ambulance. This is just the latest in a string of slow and inaccurate responses involving D.C. Fire and EMS. However, the Concerned Citizen believes that the Fire Department may not be entirely at fault…  read our entire report & comments

Is This Fair Mayor Bowser?

DC Government vehicles allowed to park in the middle of an already 20150312_120523congested street, (1100 block of 4th St. Southwest), with impunity from Parking Enforcement officers while tax paying citizens of the District have to troll the surrounding neighborhoods for a place to park or pay to keep from being ticketed and/or towed.       (pictures)

20150312_120444To top that, food trucks are given special parking privileges on city streets by way of Emergency No Parking signs, (permit # PA10168232), posted by the DCRA Vending Program. The signs state that the reason is a “City Event”. City event, from 12/1/14 to 5/29/15, yeah right!   Way to go DC, screw tax paying citizens again because they don’t count right? We can’t wait to hear what the Mayor has to say about this…  Tell us what you think?
