Full Report & Video

According to a Paul Wagner, FOX 5 news, the DC 911 (OUC) system failed again, now questions are being raised about the time it took to get help to a toddler who stopped breathing after choking on some grapes while the closest Fire and EMS paramedic was just three blocks away. That toddler is now in intensive care and fighting for his life. Mayor Bowser, the ball is in your court and concerned citizens want to know when do you think that enough is enough?

We feel that the 911/OUC director needs to be removed and replaced by the police and fire Chiefs respectively, and order needs to be restored to that agency immediately.

The chief has no control over one of the biggest problems… Then and Now!

deanEight years ago I was in DC’s Office of Unified Communications (OUC or 911 center) as Chief Dennis Rubin was named by Mayor Adrian Fenty as the city’s new fire chief. This is just the latest in a string of slow and inaccurate responses involving D.C. Fire and EMS. However, the Concerned Citizen believes that the Fire Department may not be entirely at fault…  read our entire report & comments

Man shot by police on Xmas Eve

Courtesy of WTOPPeople gathered on Friday to remember a 29 year old male who was suspected of robbery on Dec 24th and was being pursued by police. As the chase ensued, the man turned and began shooting at the officers. One lady at the vigil stated, “They should have attempted to disarm him, not kill him.”Lady Please! The death of anyone is a tragedy, but how can you expect the police to disarm a man who is trying his best to kill them?   What do you think DC?
