The DC Police Department is spending lots of money, in terms of time and manpower, on busting prostitutes and johns while, as of August 13, 2015, city officials report 91 homicides — 20 more than this time last year.

been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a man whose burned body was found in a trash can on the morning of June 23 in the 1200 block of Holbrook Terrace in the Northeast section of the city. Police Chief Cathy Lanier said the suspect and the victim, 19-year-old Heineken McNeil, were friends.
