“You went to the DMV back then and actually got out of there in under 30 minutes… :)”
This was not my experience when dealing with the DMV.
Additionally, before Fenty I paid $25.00 to have my vehicle inspected and had Two (2) inspection stations to use.
When Fenty became Mayor, I had to pay $35.00 to have my vehicle inspected and have just One (1) station to use.
While the station may have 12-14 lanes, you never see all of them open at the same time.
Hey S.E., I don’t think you got the point. The Concerned Citizen’s comment was not actually about the DMV… lol
This goes to the commentary posted by one of your writers the other day called Cost over Concern. DC officials, including the mayor, city council members, and agency directors all seem to prefer cost over concern and take the business as usual approach rather then actually fixing the problems that exist. It’s called take the money and run. Well, as a tax paying citizen, I’m tired of these same old politicians. DC needs new blood, maybe we should all vote republican for a change and give them 4 years in office. What harm can it due to find out just what they can do for our city? I guarantee it won’t be business as usual with these government agencies and officials if the republicans are in charge. Maybe we need a TRUMP of our own in DC.
Hey blaze, your right and you may just be on to something with the Trump part of your comment. The democrats haven’t done a thing in this city since Fenty left as far as we’re concerned. He had government workers and officials scared to death. You went to the DMV back then and actually got out of there in under 30 minutes… 🙂
The article you referenced was written by Jillian A. Cohen and we think she nailed it. Here’s the link for the folks that might want to take a look.
