…prostitution; however, what about the bigger picture, the murders Ms. Lanier? And what about the countless men and woman who are being randomly victimized on a daily basis in the Nation’s Capital by senseless and brutal attacks, beatings, and shootings in broad daylight as they walk down DC streets Ms. Bowser? Come on – Get a grip! The police in DC are undermanned, outgunned, and overwhelmed. Why not concentrate their efforts on the most serious problem plaguing our city today.
We were originally against arming citizens, but now we think it may be time for DC to take another approach, back down on their stance and resistance against guns, and allow the honest, law abiding citizens of DC to carry concealed weapons like they do in Virginia and approximately 38 other states across the country. Because, let’s face it folks, the serious shortage of manpower and depletion of resources in the DC police department has crippled the city and violent criminals know this. They have no fear because there is no Death Penalty in DC and for the few violent offenders that eventually get incarcerated it’s like going back to the old neighborhood to see their friends for a while. Jail in DC is a big fat joke for these men and women. Criminals also know that their chances of getting away with murder in DC are extremely good, but if by chance they do get caught, some judge will probably release them on bond to reign again with fear and terror on the streets after arraignment.
So what’s the answer, we don’t know and it’s clear that city officials don’t know either. One thing for sure, criminals are never going to give up their guns, why not allow city residents to protect themselves, because it’s more then obvious that the police are either unable or unwilling to protect us here in the District of Columbia.
